ITV has named the head of Royal Mail and former chief of the Football Association Adam Crozier as its new chief executive.
he appointment brings to a close a 10-month search by the struggling commercial broadcaster to find a replacement for Michael Grade. Other candidates that were tipped for the top job include former CEO of German broadcaster ProSiebenSat.1 Guillaume de Posch, ITVs chief operating officer John Cresswell and former Sky CEO Tony Ball. Crozier, who was joint CEO of ad agency Saatchi & Saatchi, will start at ITV later this year.
