Turner hires CBeebies controller as content chief

Channel provider Turner Broadcasting has named Michael Carrington as chief content officer, EMEA, following the departure of Finn Arnesen last year.

Carrington, who is currently controller of the BBC’s pre-school kids channel CBeebies, will be responsible for the development and creation of all original series, co-productions and programme acquisitions for Turner Broadcasting’s portfolio of children’s channels within the UK and EMEA, including Cartoon Network, Boomerang and Cartoonito.
