Brightcove, a company that enables third parties to publish and distribute video services, has launched the TV Everywhere Solution Pack (TVE-SP), which enables TV content makers to operate branded catch-up TV services.
The TVE-SP combines the enterprise version of the Brightcove 4 platform with additional features to enable TV programme makers and multi-channel distributors to bring licensed and subscriber-entitled video content online. The company is partnering with Ping Identity, an internet identity security company, to integrate its PingFederate software into the TVE-SP to provide content owners with a user authentication and authorisation solution built on existing open standards.
Brightcove has promoted Eric Elia to vice-president of TV solutions. He will lead the team responsible for customising and deploying TV Everywhere solutions for Brightcove customers. Elia was formerly vice-president of professional services.
