Volia expects continuation of slower internet growth

Ukrainian cable operator Volia expects its broadband internet subscriber base to grow by 12-15% in 2010, roughly the same level of 2009, but about half that of 2008.

Volia CEO Sergey Boyko said the growth rate had been affected by last year’s economic crisis.

While growth in internet traffic per subscriber for 2009 was 96%, this year the company expects that figure to be approximately 80%.
