Sony Pictures Television, the content sales arm of the Hollywood studio, has inked its first-ever video-on-demand deal in Scandinavia.
It has agreed a deal with Swedish service Voddler and a range of Sony movies will be available from next month. As well as transaction-based regular VOD, consumers will be able to access some of the Sony movies via a free, ad-supported service. Titles include Angels & Demons and, from later this year, 2012. Voddler is a broadband delivered VOD service, delivering TV and movie content.
