Murdoch and Alwaleed discuss further cooperation

Saudi investor Prince Alwaleed Bin Talal met with News Corp chairman and CEO Rupert Murdoch on Thursday to discuss media investments including News Corp’s forthcoming acquisition of a 10% stake in channel provider Rotana Media, which is 90%-owned by Alwaleed’s Kingdom Holding Company (KHC). The deal with News Corp is expected to close at the end of this month.

According to KHC, the meeting also touched up on future potential alliances with News Corp. Rotana and News Corp had previously established a strategic relationship to bring Fox International Channels content to the Middle East.
