Georgian Russian-language channel launches on satellite

Caucasus One, the Russian language news channel set up by Georgia’s public broadcaster, is set to launch via satellite later this month after it struck a number of carriage deals.

The channel – known as Pervyy Kavkazskiy – was previously only available via the internet but will now be broadcast across the Caucasus region and parts of southern Russia.
