Etisalat chooses Alcatel-Lucent for FTTH rollout

UAE telecom provider Etisalat has chosen Alcatel-Lucent to deliver GPON equipment to connect 50,000 homes and businesses to its new fibre-to-the-home network.

Etisalat’s FTTH rollout, which is branded eLife, aims to see Abu Dhabi become the first capital city in the world with 100% fibre coverage by the end of the year.
