Zon TV Cabo launches gateway with Jungo

Portuguese triple-play operator Zon TV Cabo has deployed a wireless DOCSIS3.0 gateway, based on technology from home gateway middleware specialist Jungo.

The gateway’s are based on NDS subsidiary Jungo’s OpenRG and OpenSMB middleware, remote management system and support cost reduction solutions. Zon said the devices are expected to become the dominant triple-play gateways in Portugal by end of the first quarter of 2010.
