BT launches energy efficient set-top

UK telco BT has launched a new, energy efficient set-top box for its IPTV service BT Vision.

The new hybrid IP/DTT Vision Plus box reduces power consumption by 12% and meets EU energy regulations. It has a 160GB hard drive, meaning users can record up to 80 hours of content.

The new Vision Plus box is available for free until January 15 to customers who subscribe to any value pack bundles.
