TF1 wins national football rights

French broadcaster TF1 has been granted exclusive broadcast rights for matches played by the country’s national football team.

The deal, which includes internet rights, covers four seasons from August 2010 to June 2014. TF1 will pay an annual fee to the French Football Federation that, taking market conditions into account, will be 18% lower than the average price paid per match between 2006 and 2010.
