Canal Plus launches mobile TV app for iPhone

Pay-TV provider Canal Plus has launched a mobile TV application on the Apple App Store, enabling iPhone and iPod touch owners to access its channels on their phones via 3G, 3G Plus and WiFi networks.

As well as giving access to free-to-air channels and information channel i>Tele, the application allows users to subscribe to Canal Plus by mobile, giving access to five premium channels, as well as CanalSat by mobile, with 50 thematic channels including Eurosport, MCM Top, June, Disney XD and Planète.

CanalSat is available via mobile for €9 a month, with Canal Plus and Canal Plus on-demand available for €20. The operator has also launched a new option, Web Plus Mobile, available at no extra charge for existing ‘five-star’ pay-TV subscribers, and for €7 to three and four-star customers. This offer is currently available to CanalSat subscribers, but will be extended to Canal Plus subscribers next year.
