Albania’s Tring signs up for satellite broadband, more capacity

Albanian DTH provider Tring Communications has signed a deal with satellite operator Eutelsat that will see it distribute the latter’s Tooway consumer broadband by satellite service in the country.

Tring, owned by Albanian Satellite Communications, has also renewed and expanded its capacity on the W2 satellite at 16° East.

Launched last year, Tring offers a package of 22 channels to about 30,000 subscribers in Albania. The company has a target of signing up an additional 50,000 customer in 2010.
