German broadcaster ProSiebenSat.1 has set up Magic Flight Film, a new division dedicated to making TV movies. It will be part of the Producers at Work production division, which is jointly operated by ProSieben and producer Christian Popp.
Magic Flight will be based in Munich and Berlin. It will be run by Christian Rohde previously of RTL-owned German TV producer teamWorx. It will start operating from next year.
Rohde said the new unit will produce high-quality TV movies with broad appeal and there are several movies in development.
