UK cable operator Virgin Media has reshuffled its management in a move that sees head of strategy development Andrew Barron become chief operating officer.
Barron, who joined Virgin Media from Scandinavian pay-TV broadcaster Modern Times Group, will enter the role in January. This comes as the company’s chief commercial officer Mark Schweitzer extended his contract to the end of June 2010. He was originally due to leave the cabler at the end of March.
