The majority of French households receive TV via more than one delivery platform, according to research commissioned by ARCEP, the countrys telecoms regulator.
The survey carried out on ARCEPÂs behalf by market research company CREDOC concerning information and communication technologies take-up in France reveals that just 43% of French home receive TV services via one medium. Forty per cent of the population watches TV via DTT, 26% via satellite and 25% via ADSL. Sixty eight per cent receive TV via analogue terrestrial.
Four per cent of the population watch TV on their mobile phone, which may seems like a small proportion but accounts for 1.6 million individuals.
