Belgacom sells Liechtenstein operation

Belgacom telco Belgacom has sold its subsidiary in Liechtenstein to Unify Nederland, a Dutch company with telecom operations in Switzerland.

Belgacom acquired the fixed and mobile operations of Tele2 in Liechtenstein as part of a deal to acquire Tele2 Luxembourg in 2008. Earlier this month the government of the Principality of Liechtenstein approved the divestment of Tele 2 Liechtenstein to Unify Nederland and the deal has now been finalised.

Financial details of the transaction were not disclosed.
