Turkeys largest media group Dogan Yayin Holdings has begun court proceedings regarding a tax penalty.
A Turkish court yesterday rejected a demand from Dogan to cancel a collateral request for its tax fine. The company, which owns national broadcasters Kanal D, Star TV and CNN Turk TV, confirmed it had launched a court case over a TRY15.7m (Â7m) tax penalty and a related TRY19.4m penalty following an audit of its 2002 and 2003 bank accounts.
