RSCC begins delivering channels for DTT transmissions

Russian satellite operator RSCC has started delivering a DTT channels multiplex to Siberia and the Far East.

The digital multiplex includes all-Russian public compulsory TV and radio channels as approved by a decree signed in June this year under the Federal Target Programme Development of TV and Radio Broadcasting in the Russian Federation for 2009-2015.

RSCC said the MPEG-4 digital multiplex is received at RSCC’s Shabolovka technical centre and transmitted via fibre into its satellite communications centre in Moscow. It is uplinked to the Express-AM3 satellite at 140° East and distributed to DTT transmission sites in the Far East and Siberia.
