Italian telco Brennercom has selected EutelsatÂs Tooway broadband-via satellite service to expand the reach of its network.
Brennercom is deploying Tooway, which is operated by EutelsatÂs Skylogic affiliate, in partnership with ISP Raiffeisen OnLine and network infrastructure manager Run to deliver broadband in the South Tyrol region. The satellite kit and user costs will be subsidised through public funds and made available on request to homes located beyond range of ADSL and terrestrial wireless networks. Users will have access to download speeds of up to 3.6Mbps and upload speeds of up to 384kbps.
