YouSee launches web TV service

Danish cable operator YouSee has launched a free add-on web TV service to its broadband subscribers.

YouSee broadband customers will now have access to 30 of the most popular channels in the Danish market via its yousee.tv portal. The operator said that the service would eventually mirror its cable TV service, with a full package of over 50 channels. Customers will have access via the web to the channels they pay for in their cable TV package.

The service currently offers all of public broadcaster DR’s channels except DR HD, TV2’s channels, TV3, National Geographic, Eurosport, Discovery, Disney XD, MTV and others.

YouSee’s on-demand service, YouSee Cinema, with over 600 current titles, will also be available via yousee.tv.
