International sports broadcaster ESPN has acquired the rights to FA Cup soccer matches in the UK following the collapse of Setanta.
ESPN has picked up the rights to the games that were previously held by the Irish pay broadcaster and from the end of 2010 will air two games per round of the competition. The Disney-backed broadcaster is believed to have beat off competition from public broadcaster the BBC for the rights.
