TDF chief to quit

Patrick Babin, the president of French transmission services provider TDF, has resigned.

Babin will leave at the end of January, and will be replaced by Olivier Huart, currently managing director of BT France, by the beginning of March at the latest.

TDF is currently planning a series of cost-cutting measures in anticipation of a drop in revenue following digital switchover in 2011.
