French pay-TV provider Canal Plus has secured exclusive rights to southern hemisphere rugby, including the matches played by Frances national team in Australia, New Zealand and South Africa.
Canal Plus has struck a deal with southern hemisphere rugby group SANZAR, allowing it to broadcast the Three Nations tournament between July and September each year, which is due to be enlarged by the inclusion of Argentina, Super Rugby (formerly the Super 14), comprising the best teams from New Zealand, Australia and South Africa, New Zealand domestic rugby including the Air New Zealand Cup and South African domestic rugby including the Currie Cup and Vodacom Cup.
