Negotiations between Telefónica and media group Prisa over the re-entry of Telefónica into ownership of the latterÂs pay-TV platform Digital Plus are proceeding well, according to Telefónica president Cesar Alierta, cited by Dow Jones.
Heavily indebted Prisa has been trying to sell Digital Plus for a number of months. Alierta made no comment about the possible involvement of Vivendi in the negotiations. The Spanish telco had earlier teamed up with the French media group to acquire Digital Plus but negotiations had foundered over a Â600m shortfall in what the pair were prepared to offer compared with PrisaÂs asking price.
