ProSieben looks at pay-TV model for core channel

German broadcast group ProSiebenSat.1 is studying ways to introduce a consumer payment model for its main channels including ProSieben and Sat.1, CEO Thomas Ebeling has told German press.

He is quoted as saying that the company would like to introduce the pay model in increments over a period of time. The company is keen to reduce its exposure to the cyclical advertising market and wants almost a third of revenues to come from revenues streams other than advertising by 2014.
