Pace launches multiroom DVR solution

Set-top specialist Pace has revealed a new multiroom DVR solution.

Pace’s Home Content Sharing (HCS) solution uses centralised storage to connect multiple high-definition set-top boxes within the home. It is integrated with digital TV technology company Rovi’s interactive programme guide (IPG) and connected platform software.

The service can deliver full dual tuner HD-DVR functionality to each connected television in the home. It is built around a single network attached storage device that provides centralised storage and enables multiple non-DVR set-top boxes in the home to access and share recorded content. It can distribute nine simultaneous HD streams throughout the home and subscribers will be able to concurrently record six HD programs while maintaining full trick mode capability. The HCS solution also offers a folder system, a bulk delete tool and the ability to bookmark playback to resume in another room.
