Arris unveils new EPON for cable

Broadband technology company Arris has unveiled its new DOCSIS control interface or subscriber service provisioning and system management of Ethernet PON fibre-to-the-home systems.

The new functionality is designed to enable cable operators to address business customers with EPON deployments.

The company is demonstrating the product at the SCTE Cable-Tec expo in Denver, Colorado this week in partnership with OSS provider Incognito Software and EPON chip provider Teknovus.
