ProSiebenSat.1 expects ad bounce next year

German commercial broadcaster ProSiebenSat.1 is expected to see a significant bounce in advertising revenues at the start of next year, according to analysts.

Invesment bank Morgan Stanley is cautiously optimistic that national advertising revenues will return to 2004 levels by the end of this year. “Our latest discussions with media buyers indicate that agencies are seeing early signs of optimism on behalf of advertisers for the first quarter of 2010. The largest advertisers are talking about keeping budgets stable at least going into next year. While actual negotiations will not start before December, the risk seems clearly to be the upside,” it noted.
