Stream TV expands Universal Channel

Russian pay-TV operator Stream TV has launched the Universal Channel in the city of Perm.

The general entertainment channel is available in most Russian cities via Comstar’s cable network, which operates the Stream TV service. It is now also available in the basic package in Perm, a city with a population of about one million.

NBC Universal recently announced plans to rebrand its five global channels in an exercise to strategically align the channels with new logos and names. The Universal Channel features series including House, Desperate Housewives and Law and Order.
