Rosmedia chooses Netris for wholesale model

St Petersburg-based Russian IPTV service provider Rosmedia, a subsidiary of Rostelecom, has selected local middleware provider Netris to supply a solution in support of its ‘sub-operator’ model, whereby Rosmedia delivers IPTV services to small local operators.

Netris is supplying its IPSoft iVision Hosted Edition and IPSoft iStream video server to enable Rosmedia to deliver its services. Local operators may either deploy a middleware server and video services or provide access to the central operator’s services, according to Netris.

Separately, content security specialist SecureMedia and Netris have announced the latest version of the IPSoft product line to deliver content to broadband-connected PCs. The solution combines Netris’s IPSoft iStream video server, the IPSoft iVision PC solution and the Encryptonite One DRM system.
