Iskon chooses Appear TV

Headend equipment provider Appear TV is supplying its SC2000 IP Streamer to enable Croatian ISP Iskon’s MPEG-4-based IPTV-over-DSL deployment.

Iskon, a subsidiary of Deutsche Telekom-owned T-Hrvatski Telekom, launched its IPTV service in April, offering 40 TV channels, video-on-demand, network DVR and interactive services in nine cities. Appear TV’s SC2000 platform enables reception, descrambling, scrambling and streaming of multiple video feeds via a single box.
