Ukraine cable numbers down

The number of cable subscribers in Ukrainian fell 0.2% year-on-year in the third quarter to 3,401,577, according to a State Statistics Committee report.

Of that figure, 575,126 or 16.9% were registered in Kiev. The number of subscribers in the Dnipropetrovsk region reached 435,909 and in the Donetsk region the figure was 311,919.

In 2008, the number of cable subscribers rose by 7.7% or 249,000, to 3,486,000, compared with 2007.
