August launches integrated Freeview TV and media player

August International, a supplier of integrated Freeview TV sets for the UK market, has launched a new device that allows users to view and listen to multimedia content including music, photos and movies.

The August DA701C offers digital and analogue TV with integrated card reader and USB jack. It receives over 40 Freeview channels, five analogue channels as well as Freeview radio stations. It can also play video, music and photos in MP3, WAV, MPEG4, AVI, JPEG formats directly from memory cards, USB sticks or from external media with USB interfaces. It also has the ability to record Freeview TV on to a USB memory stick or external hard drive.

The TV features a seven-inch screen, a built-in rechargeable battery and supports red button MHEG-5 interactive teletext services.
