Harris president to step down

The president of Harris Broadcast Communications, Tim Thorsteinson, has announced plans to retire from the company, effective October 31, to pursue other interests.

Thorsteinson joined Harris four years ago as part of the Leitch Technology acquisition. Prior to this, he was vice-president of Grass Valley products for Thomson Broadcast and Media Solutions.

Harris said it had begun searching both internal and external candidates for Thorsteinson’s successor.
