Sky to launch Christmas Channel

BSkyB is to launch Sky Movies Christmas Channel in December, according to a report in the Guardian newspaper.

The pay-TV operator will rebrand Sky Screen 2 as Sky Movies Christmas Channel for the whole month and will offer a range of movies traditionally watched over the festive season, including the full Back to the Future, Indiana Jones and Home Alone franchises. Viewers will also be given the chance to vote for the films they would most like to see on Christmas Day and Boxing Day.

A high definition version of the channel will also be available.
