Online video sharing site YouTube is set to launch its advertising funded video-on-demand service for the UK in November.
The Google-owned site is in talks with British commercial broadcasters ITV and Five to make their shows available for free. This follows news that Channel 4 will make its programmes available via the video site.
The launch of YouTube’s service in November is expected to beat the international launch of Hulu, which is expected to bow next year, as well as Arqiva’s SeeSaw, which is made up of the technology of Project Kangaroo.
