Eutelsat to broadcast Magyar TV2

Satellite operator Eutelsat has been selected by Hungarian public broadcaster Magyar Televízió to broadcast its Magyar TV2 channel across Europe using the Eurobird 9A satellite.

The free-to-air general entertainment channel is available in standard-definition and HD versions.

Hungarian telco Magyar Telekom is managing terrestrial activities, including fibre delivery of the broadcast signals to eVision’s teleport in Budapest. The signals are multiplexed and uplinked by e-Vision to a transponder on Eurobird 9A at 9° East.
