YouTube gets one billion hits a day

Video-sharing website YouTube gets more than one billion hits a day, according to founder Chad Hurley.

Speaking during a video blog marking the third anniversary of Google’s US$1.65bn (€1.12bn) acquisition of the site, Hurley said YouTube gets “well over a billion views a day” globally. Seventy per cent of traffic to the site comes from outside the US.
