ITV executive plans in flux

The senior management upheaval at UK broadcaster ITV is continuing with COO John Cresswell stepping into the position of CEO while the search for a permanent chief executive continues. Cresswell, will, however, step down when that appointment is made.

The UK commercial broadcaster failed to lure former BSkyB boss Tony Ball and has now been looking for a CEO since May when Michael Grade announced his decision to step down. It is also looking for a new chairman, but leading candidates Michael Bishop, the ex-Channel 4 chairman, and Crispin Davies, former Reed Elsevier boss, have both ruled themselves out of the running.
