French media regulator the CSA has given the go-ahead to student-oriented channel Ma ChaÃ®ne Ãtudiante to be distributed over non-terrestrial networks.
The channel, currently available on the internet, is aiming for cable and IPTV distribution, and also aspires to distribution via digital-terrestrial in the longer term.
Separately, the CSA has approved the distribution via local cable networks of a new local channel, Canal Cholet, for the town of Cholet in Maine-et-Loire in western France.
