Comstar’s MGTS passes 200,000 broadband customers

Russian service provider Comstar-UTS’s Moscow network MGTS now has over 210,000 broadband internet subscribers.  The operator said its broadband subscriber base grew by 28,000 in the third quarter.

Comstar provides internet services in the capital under two brands – Stream-TV as a premium service and MGTS as a mass market service. The operator said that it had managed to expand its base despite current economic difficulties and the suspension of marketing initiatives by providing a number of services such as self-installation kits and help delivered via SMS during the installation process.
