NSS-12 arrives safely at launch site

Satellite operator SES World Skies has announced that its NSS-12 satellite has arrived at the European spaceport in Kourou, French Guiana, and is ready for launch on October 29.

The satellite will replace NSS-703 at 57º East, covering most of the Eastern Hemisphere. It features 40 C-band transponders and 48 Ku-band transponders for DTH coverage over the Middle East, Europe, central and south Asia and East Africa. According to World Skies, the satellite will reach an estimated two-thirds of the world’s population.
