Ofcom makes dual appointment


UK communications regulator has appointed Hyacinth Nwana to lead the Spectrum Policy Group and Steve Unger as its new chief technology officer.

Nwana will join from Arqiva, where he has been  managing director, mobile media solutions since 2005. He will join Ofcom on 28 September to lead the Spectrum Policy Group, which oversees the management of the allocation of the UK’s airwaves.

Unger was previously director of Ofcom’s Competition Group where he has led various projects including the current pay-TV market investigation. He joined Ofcom in 2003 as director of telecoms technology.
