Globecast signs Intelsat OU capacity deal

Broadcast services provider GlobeCast has signed a deal with satellite operator Intelsat for occasional use capacity across its entire fleet.

GlobeCast said the multi-year contract would enable it to it to fulfil its customer needs for distribution of live sports, breaking news and special events. Intelsat has dedicated approximately 140 transponders specifically for OU services and is on course to handle over 120,000 feeds this year.
