Nagra selected for Spanish pay-DTT platform

Kudelski-owned conditional access supplier Nagravision has been chosen to secure Spain’s new pay-DTT service TDT Premium.

Network operator Abertis Telecom will use Nagravision’s Media Access conditional access to secure its TDT Premium platform. The technology will be integrated into new set-top boxes, which Nagravision said will be compliant with the technical specifications for DTT CA enabled receivers agreed within the Spanish Digital TV Forum. The set-top boxes will be sold to consumers via retail channels as well as through TV installers.
