CSA rejects TV Numéric case against Canal J

French audiovisual media regulator the CSA has rejected a complaint made by digital-terrestrial service provider TV Numéric over the decision of youth-oriented channel Canal J to withdraw from the platform.

TV Numéric had alleged that Canal J’s decision to pull out of the platform damaged its business and broke earlier commitments. Canal J, which decided to pull out of pay services on the DTT platform, maintained that its contract gave it the right to withdraw its service and said that TV Numéric was also financially in debt to it.
