Viaccess and Opentech technology for ART

Conditional access company Viaccess and Korea-based set-top manufacturer Opentech have jointly agreed a deal to provide content security to Middle East pay-TV platform ART.

ART and Viaccess will deploy Opentech’s MPEG-4 standard-definition set-tops with Viaccess’s Praha smart-card. ART will also use a number of other technologies supplied by Viaccess to combat piracy and card sharing in the region, including its Secured Loader software protection system.
