GlobeCast takes additional capacity

Broadcast services provider GlobeCast has taken two additional 36MHz transponders on Eutelsat’s Atlantic Bird 1 and W2A satellites for three years.

The new capacity, at 12.5° West and 10° East respectively, will be used for professional video services, allowing GlobeCast to provide additional capacity for occasional use services and contribution links. In particular, GlobeCast expects to use the transponders to support HD contribution requirements.
