Kyrgyzstan’s Ala TV chooses Irdeto

Kyrgyzstan-based cable operator Ala TV has chosen conditional access provider Irdeto to provide content security technology for its digital TV service.

Ala TV, which currently delivers TV services via cable to about 80,000 households in and around the Kyrgyz capital Bishkek, along with a further 1,500 households via an MMDS network, plans to launch Kyrgyzstan’s first digital pay-TV service. Irdeto already supplies technology to a number of operators in nearby Kazakhstan.
